Cruising Home for the Canal du Midi
The Cruising Home 2400 is a unique concept that we have developed in close cooperation with designer Olivier van Meer. Inspiration came from the many stories of people who have frequentlysailed the Canal du Midi or have the journey high on their bucket list. And who can blame them as the 240 km long canal in southern France makes for a truly special voyage.
The uniqueness of the CH Explorer 2400 can be seen in the way its design specifically addresses everything you need to enjoy an inland adventure that starts in Toulouse and ends in the lovely Mediterranean Sea. A great example is that she is a CE Category B motoryacht (so suitable for open seas) while being low enough to pass under the most challenging bridge on the Canal du Midi, the Pont Capestang. This fixed structure on the Canal du Midi is, as the name suggests, located near the town of Capestang.
When you’re not enjoying her yourself, the CH Explorer 2400 would also be very suitable for exclusive charter activities on the Canal du Midi. To see what we mean check out the elegant hotel barge Roi Soleil on the French Waterways website, a vessel built by SRF.
