Cruising Home in the spotlights
This was the second time that Cruising Home has participated in the Hiswa show. It was a landmark moment for us as we gave a public debut to the new CH Explorer 1500. After weeks of preparation and an extensive marketing campaign, we were delighted to welcome many new faces onboard this latest addition to our fleet. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone both for joining us at the show and for your very positive feedback.
In summary, visitors said that they found the Explorer 1500 to be an ideal blend of luxury, space and smart technology. They were also impressed with the way the Explorer 1500 is designed for extensive trips and the way its sailing performance matches any comparable motoryacht in the 15-20 metre range. Designer Olivier van Meer’s meticulous attention to sailing comfort, safety and efficiency has clearly paid dividends.
We are now in the concept proposal stage with a number of interested parties and hope to share more about new orders soon.
The options explained
The Explorer 1250 and 1500 are CE category C vessels, which means they are suitable for coastal waters, large bays, estuaries, lakes and rivers where conditions up to wind force 6 and significant wave heights of up to 2 metres may be experienced. The Explorer 1750 ‘Ibiza,’ Explorer 2000 and Explorer 2400 come under CE category B, making them suitable for open seas.
The main engine of the Explorer 1500 offers a cruising speed of 7 knots and a maximum speed of 9-10 knots. Fuel consumption is very good at 25 litres per hour when cruising at 7 knots. You can see all the specs and layouts of our different models here.
